I can't get the -r option to work!
I am running Mandrake Linux 9.0 and Sendmail 8.12.8. I have created the
spamass-milter file in /etc/sysconfig and given ownership to user
nobody, group nogroup. I am using Nigel Horne's initscript. I know the
initscript is reading the file in /etc/sysconfig because it complains if
I make a deliberate mistake in the file. My file contains this:
SM_EXTRA_FLAGS="-u user -r 9"
Is there anything special I need to do when installing the
spamassmilter? Anything I need to configure in my spamassassin local.cf
file? Do I need to make changes to my Sendmail.mc? I'm stumped here.
I installed spamass-milter by compiling the RPM from the included spec
file and then replacing the initscript with Nigel's (incidentally, the
spec file has a bug-- it mentions two files - INSTALL and COPYING - that
don't exist). I have not applied any patches to the default
spamass-milter-0.1.3a.
I also have another milter that works before spamass-milter: Anthony
Howe's milter-sender, which rejects mail that comes from forged
addresses. After passing this check, it gets handed to spamass-milter.
Thanks,
Jeff
