I have read everyone's replies. I go with Chris there, identd is a cool thing,
but on most of the hosts it's just not available or replaced with a less
useful form. You can't even count oidentd as being useful since everyone on
the host could fake their ident without problems.

You're probably all right about DNS. It's just that I've had a look at adns
and it doesn't have any docs. I'll play around with it a bit and see whether I
can get along with it anyway.

Oh, here's another one: should we make the hostname of clients available to
other clients or keep it to the server?


PS. this goes to colde specifically: you signed up using another address than
the one which you used to send your last post to this list. Either change your
signup or revert to the old address, or you'll have to wait for all of your
