HDF5 is a way to load and save hierarchal data in a portable, compact
and fast way. HDF5 files be be loaded (e.g. simulation parameters) or
saved (e.g. agent state or metric data streams) with Swarm and loaded
and saved using the R statistical package, among other applications.
It's like a high-performance database for scientific data. Look
through the Swarm-support archives for examples. I think Paul has some at the
URL he just posted, too.
