i am about to commit some more lines. no real new stuff, just some cleanup
and probably better error handling.
ela: you can implement optionhash_extract_intarray. should be straight
forward... but i'll do it somewhen...

ooops... no comitting. ela changed something... removing
conflicts. hopefully nothing is b0rken.
