OK, so I missed the '00' and yes totally agree with you on SCL but despite being involved in writing it along with VME and later, I have absolutely no documentation (nor the code) for it and yes I would like to have a version of it for Linux.
Did have a look at the hercules (IBM 360) project but that really is very old and I for one was very grateful it was replaced (MVT etc) and allow it brought back a few memories, it also reminded me why I was never that impressed with it :).
